1966 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow

As one might expect, the finish on the new cars was exemplary, with Connolly leather interior, lambs-wool carpet, and walnut dash and door trims, with full instrumentation. The new Shadow was lighter, faster, and better handling than any Rolls-Royce produced before. Powered by the 200-hp, 6.2L V-8 from the Silver Cloud III, it runs nice and smooth. GM's Turbo Hydramatic 350, 3-speed automatic transmission was standard and makes servicing the transmission a breeze. Power windows and four-wheel disc brakes were standard, and the rear suspension was self-leveling, based on the Citroen DS-19 hydraulic/hydrogen sphere system. This Silver Shadow was once owned by Alan Grant, who was part of Carrol Shelby's race team in the 1965 Championship run. It has been very well cared for and has a lot of service history and documentation. The 87,952 miles are actual and the Rolls comes with an Arizona Box A title (actual miles). The body and paint is in really good condition. The seats, although showing their age, are not torn or ripped. The dash is intact but the sun and age have taken a toll on the dash area closest to the windshield. All in all, the car is in good shape and would be a great addition to a collection.
