This 1964 genuine Glitterbug Dune Buggy was one of the designs that followed the famous Meyers Manx. The Glitterbug differed from the Manx by having wider and deeper fenders to better keep water and dirt out of the cabin, a styling ridge running down the center and the VW fuel tank is turned around with the filler neck further back for safety.

Built on a shortened Beatle chassis, this Glitterbug is in it's original large metal flake green gel coat finish. A removable black vinyl top will keep you protected from the elements while features like front fender mounted mirrors, chrome front and rear bumpers, windshield wipers and a chrome roll bar help keep you safe along with making it practical for street use.
The tried and true VW 1600cc flat four single port engine, through a four speed manual transmission, powers this Glitterbug while chrome exhaust tips, engine belt cover and rain deflecting aluminum air cleaner dress it up.

The rear seat and the racing style buckets with lap belts up front are covered in black vinyl while individual rear wheel brake levers sit in between with the emergency brake.

Chrome 15” slotted steel wheels shod with 205/65 front and 235/75 rear tires, a front sway bar and 4-wheel drum brakes take care of road-holding, handling and stopping respectively.
